Situated right in the heart of the Dolomites, the Alta Val Badia can be easily reached from all four points of the compass.
The main access routes are as follows:
1) From the north via the Brenner Pass (80 Km from Badia);
2) On the Val Pusteria Trunk road, which can be reached from Lienz, Austria (approx. 70 km);
3) By exiting the highway at the Chiusa toll station and ascending the Val Gardena Trunk Road, you can reach Badia by driving through the famous Gardena Pass. For the scenic route, leave the highway at Bolzano Nord and, when you reach Blumau, head towards Alpe di Siusi as far as Ortisei in Val Gardena where you continue along the panoramic passes of the Sella;
4) From the south via the Brennero Highway, exiting at the Bressanone toll station (after approx. 50 km), or by choosing the panoramic road from the south going through the Val di Fassa or Agordino area, culminating in one of the four famous passes that surround the Sella;
5) From the east through the beautiful Cadore area, going via Cortina d'Ampezzo, through the Falzarego and Valparola passes, down to the Valle San Cassiano and then on to Badia (approx. 40 km from Cortina).
